This is just not the year for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. This is just not the year for the NFL. Okay so, for the last 2 days, everyone has been debating the Ray Rice incident. TMZ sports released never seen before footage of Ray knocking his now wife, Janay Palmer, out in an Atlantic City casino elevator. The casino said they released the video to the police and Ray Rice’s attorney but the commissioner never received a copy or the rights to view the video. That’s when he only reprimanded Ray Rice the suspension of 2 games. Now that the video is out, Ray has been suspended indefinitely from the NFL and the Baltimore Ravens have terminated his contract. Ray Rice said he’s just trying to stay strong for his wife and kid and Janay took to Instagram and expressed how upset she was about the the fact that the NFL have taken things this far, making them relive something they regret everyday. What do you think?

The reason why I said that this is not the year for Roger Goodell is because Ray Rice’s case is not the only one on Roger’s desk. He still has Ray McDonald and Greg Hardy. On top of that, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been accused of sexual assault! Jana Weckerly, a 27 year old former exotic dancer, claims that Jerry made her touch him without her consent as he touched on her. It’s just too much going on right now, and Roger Goodell, we have our eyes on you to see what you’re going to do because people seem to believe that you are not doing your job correctly.
The NBA is having a year like the NFL. Atlanta Hawks owner, well soon to be ex-owner, Bruce Levenson is selling his share of the Hawks due to a racial comment he made in an e-mail back in 2012. He said ,“My theory is that the black crowd scared away the whites and there are simply not enough affluent black fans to build a significant season ticket base.” He complained about the music played in the arena, the black players and cheerleaders and the fact that there were not a lot of fathers and sons together in the audience. Now, he sent this e-mail to the general manager Danny Ferry and other member’s of the ownership. Nobody came forth about it…..so now, commissioner, Adam Silver has another case at hand.
Simone Battle, an “X Factor” finalist and a singer from the singing group G.R.L., was found dead by her boyfriend Friday in Los Angeles. He found her hanging from a rod in her bedroom closet. She was only 25! We are waiting for the autopsy results, but suicide is basically everyone’s thought based on how she was found. Her family and friends are saying that she had been extremely depressed over money issues. She wasn’t making as much as she wanted overseas and she was afraid that she would never make it big in the US. This is suicide prevention week everyone, if you see someone that looks sad, ask them if they are okay. Ask them if there is anything you can do to help them. If you know someone has been extra depressed for awhile, reach out to them. Reach out because you never know what someone is going through and how bad they are really feeling.
